It was only a week before and it was almost a sin that Hermione hadn't already bought her books. But then again it had to be expected seeing as she Harry and Ron had just decided to stay at Hogwarts at the last minute. Personally Hermione was glad they were staying because now she could finish her learning and Harry could become much more ready to defeat Voldamort after this year. He had told her himself that the prophacy was for Harry and Voldamort to fight after his seventh year. She and Ron would make sure that Harry was fully prepared for this battle and that he knew they would both be beside him until the end no matter what.
As the maturing witch stepped through the Leaky Cauldron doorway to the magical world she took in a deep breath and smiled. The magic aora coming from all over the place just brightened her spirits even more. The place was crowded with busy shoppers and young soon to be first years being pulled around as they wanted to buy everything.
Turning around Hermione hugged her mother and gave her father a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you both for Christmas, promise."
The two smiled and hugged her back, "Don't forget to write."
Hermione nodded and waved goodbye as they went back to the muggle world they belonged to. Once they were out of sight the brains of the trio headed off to where she would meet Harry, Ron and Ginny.
(all weasleys potters and even malfoy later can join!)

Harry was alone waiting for everyone to arrive. He had ordered a butterbeer as he waited. A few people stared at his scar in amazement. The usually mutter about him being 'The Harry Potter' or 'The Boy Who Lived' was all around. Some people asked for his autograph. He shrugged it off and did as he was asked. 'I can't wait until everyone arrives,' he thought.
As if his prayers was answered, he noticed Hermione walking in. "Hermione! Thank Merlin you're here!" he said with a grin.

OOC: Sorry this is me, Kitty on a different account, I'm just too lazy to switch.
Looking around she heard the voices as people seemed to all be looking in the same general direction. Of course it was to her best friend and slight crush (*blushes* lol) Harry Potter. Smiling when she heard his comment of relief she hugged him and kissed him on the cheek. "Good to see you too Harry." It hadn't been long since they had been a Harry's house but every time she saw her friends it was a good thing. Hermione wouldn't deny the fact that at the end of the year she would lose some of those who are closest to her.
Noticing the room was now pratically filled with eyes looking at the two of them Hermione glared at a few people. Taking Harry's wrist she started to move towards the door. "Maybe we would be better off if we waited outside for the others instead of in here with all eyes gawking at you." Once she had moved the two of them outside she laughed, "I swear those girls in there couldn't have been more obnoxious with their giggling."

Harry laughed. "It was sort of awkward in there," he noted as he ran his fingers through his messy hair. "So when do you think the others will get here?" he asked as he sat down on a bench outside. Harry watched a group of giddy girls pass him and giggle as they noticed he was looking at them. He shrugged and leaned back on the bench.

Hermione raised an eyebrow and stood behind the bench. "You feeling okay? You seem a bit... oh I don't know off today." She leaned over to look at him. Shrugging it off she looked around for any sign of the Weasleys. "Maybe we should start shopping before they get here? I mean I havn't done /anything/ to get ready and I'm about to explode because of it."

Harry chuckled at Hermione's comment. "I suppose that might be a good idea. I bet Ron is having a wardrobe malfunction or something," he said with a smirk; thinking of his best mate struggling to find an outfit that isn't too short for him. Harry had heard that Ron, once again, had a major growth spurt.
Checking the streets for any sign of Weasley life, he stood up from the bench. "No Weasley's in sight," he stated with a shake of his head. "So where shall we go first? I suggest somewhere close so that if they do show up soon, they can spot us," Harry said as a young child pointed at him and said something to his mother.

Hermione laughed at the idea. "You are right." She paused before continuing, "It couldn't be worse than his dressrobes," she said. "I bet when he got back to the house he found out almost none of his clothes fit him. He grew so much this summer it's amaising." It had taken Hermione a while to realise just how tall Ron had gotten because she had been with him most of the time.
Hermione looked too and found no Weasleys as well. "How about right over there at the dressrobes shop? I havn't gotten new dressrobes in ages. Have you?"

Harry muttered a 'No' as his response. Shopping for dressrobes had never been his cup of tea ever since the time when they had encountered Draco there a year or two ago. Time had seemed so out of order lately for him. With the rise of Voldemort, a week ago felt like ages to him. His life was growing more strenuous by the days.
Thinking of all of his stress caused the scar on his forehead to let off a burning sensation. He cringed, but tried not to let Hermione see. She always worried about him lately and he didn't want to concern her any further. "We can go look at the shop if you want," he said as he blinked a few times and shook his head slightly to try and coerce the pain to cease.
